Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to infrastructure development with the commissioning of the Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru/Akiogun Road in Eti-Osa Local Council. This newly inaugurated road serves as an alternative route to the Admiralty Circle Plaza, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion and improve connectivity within the area.
During the commissioning ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted that this project is part of a broader initiative, noting that 29 roads have been commissioned across Lagos State in the past seven weeks. He emphasized that these infrastructure developments are designed to enhance the quality of life for residents by reducing travel time, easing congestion, and stimulating socio-economic activities.
The governor also outlined plans to commission additional roads in various parts of the state, including Badagry, Kosofe, Agege, and Alimosho, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to statewide infrastructural improvement. Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Engineer Olufemi Daramola, expressed gratitude to the administration for its commitment and noted that these projects align with efforts to create a well-structured and accessible road network in Lagos State.
Daramola further stated that the benefits of the road rehabilitation are multifaceted, encompassing reduced travel time, improved road safety, enhanced commuting experiences, and positive impacts on property values and economic activities within the corridor.
